In July 2009, Volkswagen launched the CC, a Passat with coupe ambitions that only had enough seat space for four occupants. Later a normal 5-seat version was announced. Now the CC has gained VW’s current face, new, fresh, and in line with the rest of the family.

First eye grab is the all-new front grille that makes it look just like other Passats and Jettas on the list, with a few differences like the bumper, headlights and LED daytime running lights. The rear also gets LED taillights, a new shape bumper, different boot lid design and new alloys.

Some of the engines mentioned include a 2.0-litre TSI with 147kW and a 3.6 V6, although Mzansi is likely to get the TSI with 155kW when the car launches here in 2012.
