Mercedes-Benz is likely to launch a new smaller sedan Coupe in the mould of the CLS. Revealed as the F800 Concept (pictured here) at Geneva this year, the car, which some call the BLS or CLC, was spied on the production line at Daimler’s Hungary factory. That is where the new A and B-Class will be assembled as well.

You’ll remember that Cadillac already had a car called the BLS so such a name is unlikely, even though this concept is based on the B-Class. CLC is a Mercedes-Benz badge and was used on the old 2-door coupe, and is therefore possible. The concept is very similar to the CLS in that it features strictly four seats, two up front and two at the back, such that no third passenger can be accommodated in the rear middle.

Probable engines include the 1.8 turbo making 135kW and the 3.5-litre V6 with 225kW. There may well be an AMG version as well using either a naturally aspirated version of the 5.5-litre twin turbo V8 or a 6.2-litre V8 still being utilised for the C 63 AMG.
