Volvo Car South Africa announced a new performance packagefor pretty much its entire range of cars, in conjunction with Polestar. Polestar is a competition racing brand that’s been collaborating with Volvo for over a decade on the track. This time they are pairing up to improve road car power and ultimate go.

The Polestar package involves a drive to an authorised Volvo dealer’s workshop and can be done while other items like normal serviceor tyres are being done. It’s just a software upgrade that can be ordered ahead and then installed when it arrives. Additionally customers receive an R-Design make down.

Some of the power ups include the following:

C30 T5 (normal 169kW, Polestar 184kW)
S80 2.0 T (normal 149kW, Polestar 177kW)
S60 D5 (normal 151kW, Polestar 166kW)
XC60 T6 (normal 224kW, Polestar 242kW)

Volvo’s Polestar conversion costs about R10 000 for all the cars.
